The FutureCAST Challenge was designed to seek ideas on the priority areas and projects that CAST should address as it transitions from the CRC model to an independent facilitator of innovation in the metals and manufacturing sectors.

Headquartered in Brisbane, QMI Solutions also has staff at regional offices in Townsville, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Wide Bay and Toowoomba. While the organisation had experienced positive growth, internal surveys revealed low cross-divisional awareness of the company’s products and capabilities.
GENERATING CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation (CCi) is the first Australian Centre of Excellence funded outside the science, engineering and technology sectors. In 2009, CCi commissioned Era Innovation to deliver two jam events to discover new ideas for improving outcomes in two important aspects of the Centre’s work.
INSIGHT BUILDS FOR THE FUTURE AT HYDER
Hyder Consulting is a multi-national advisory and design consultancy employing around 4000 people, working on some of the world's most iconic landmarks and infrastructure. In April 2011, Hyder commissioned a web-based collaboration event to generate ideas and discussion on how to create growth through innovation.
ONE-ETSA WORK CHALLENGE
To discover ideas on how to improve integration and effectiveness, ETSA Utilities worked with Era Innovation (formerly Vulture Street) to host the One-ETSA Work Challenge: an online collaboration event designed to elicit ideas from one of its key groups of stakeholders – its employees.
COLLABORATION POWERS UP AT ESSENTIAL ENERGY
Essential Energy owns, maintains and operates Australia’s largest electricity distribution network, covering 95% of New South Wales. In 2010, Era Innovation delivered two jam sessions for Essential Energy’s senior management team.
BETTER ENERGEX CHALLENGE
In 2010, Energex’s Network Programming and Procurement (NPP) division partnered with Era Innovation (formerly Vulture Street) to deliver an online collaboration event. The 'Better Energex Challenge’ aimed to discover new ideas for strategic improvements in the organisation.
TOWNSVILLE FUTURES CHALLENGE
In December 2010, the Townsville Futures Taskforce, in conjunction with Growth Management Queensland, commissioned the Townsville Futures Challenge as an online collaboration event, to help discover new ideas and perspectives on developing Townsville as Queensland’s second capital city.
